You wanted MAGIC. Here it is.

Your shoot was beautiful. The edit is where it becomes a world.

The Otherworldly Edit is my fantasy Photoshop course. I walk you through, step by step, how to turn a plain portrait into a fantasy scene, so you can do it with your own photos. About an hour and twenty minutes, and beginner-friendly.

Before: RocĂo's elf self-portrait straight from the camera, in front of a plain black backdrop.
After: the same portrait with a glowing circle of symbols behind her, drifting teal smoke and one unified color grade.

$67  $27

Early-bird price through Wednesday, November 4, 11:59 pm PT. From Thursday, November 5, it's $67.

Nine lessons, one portrait, start to finish

I  Begin.

What we're making together, plus before → afters from my own past work, so you can see where the process leads.

II  Prepare & refine.

A working file you can trust, and a portrait refined so the eye goes exactly where you want it.

III  Transform.

Illustrating shadows and light, and bringing new elements into the scene so they look like they were always there.

IV  Unite & finish.

One colour story across everything, and an image exported to hold up wherever you share it.

You'll learn the why behind every move, so it works on your own photos, not only mine.

A few more of my self-portraits.

Four of RocĂo's self-portraits: a lake spirit among flowers, an elf before a red sun halo, a night elf casting in a glowing circle and teal smoke, and a horned sorceress casting green magic in a winter wood.
Four more: a horned sorceress with green eyes looking out over a black feathered wing, RocĂo among golden pampas grass, RocĂo with a lantern on a mossy rock in a summer forest, and a hooded figure in a cat-skull mask at blue hour.
